Programs

Athletics: is a very important aspect of our extracurricular program at B.B.C.A. We offer two competitive programs for our students: Boy’s Basketball and Girl’s Volleyball. Our “Crusaders” compete at both the junior varsity and varsity levels. All students enrolled in grades 6 through 12 may participate by adhering to the academic and behavioral standards established by the school administration. Competitions are held with eight other Christian schools in and around the bay area. In addition to these, we are also adding a Cross Country Track team to our athletic program.

Fine Arts / Music: is another important extracurricular program offered at B.B.C.A. Students compete annually in an intramural Fine Arts competition. Areas include: oil and water painting, drawing, lettering, photography, instrumentals, vocals, creative writing, spelling bee, chess, and culinary arts competitions. B.B.C.A. also offers training in music (instruments and voice) under the tutelage of two professionally educated music teachers. These lessons are provided free of charge to any student enrolled in B.B.C.A.

Physical Fitness is stressed at B.B.C.A. Competent adults offer their time to insure that the students of B.B.C.A. are encouraged and provided with opportunity to maintain a healthy regimen of physical activity. This program is available to all students enrolled in grades 5 through 12.

Science Lab takes the wonder of science off of the textbook pages and brought to life for the students of B.B.C.A. Competent, qualified instructors regularly plan and conduct experiments that are pertinent to the studies of each class. This hands-on experience helps our students find motivation for the annual Science Fair competitions held each February at B.B.C.A.

Chapel services are conducted every Wednesday for all students enrolled at B.B.C.A. These services are broken into two categories: primary chapel for students enrolled in K4 through 3rd grade, and secondary chapel for students enrolled in grades 4 through 12. These services are vital to speak to the hearts and minds of the young people in our school, preparing them to succeed as citizens, employees, parents, and spouses.

Retreats are held annually for all students enrolled in grades 7 through 12. This retreat is conducted at the Mt. Gilead Conference Center in Sebastopol. This retreat is mandatory for junior and senior high school students. Here, students develop a comradery with the other students as well as the adults that will work with them throughout the coming school year. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend the evening services with their students.
