Happy Mother’s Day

May 10th, 2008

I want to wish a very happy Mother’s Day to all of you mom’s. Having raised three children, I know the countless hours of prayers, concerns, love, and sacrifice that each of you invests in your family. May God bless you richly for your labors. Words cannot adequately express the joy I feel, nor the privilege it has been to work with each student in my class this year. I have watched them grow in their education, and have experienced so many blessings from working with them. To insure that each student has a pleasant end to this school year, we have planned for a fun filled “last day” on May 29th. Our day will begin with a trip to Bears, Buddies, and Toys located on Commerce Blvd. in Rohnert Park. There each child will select and build the bear of their choice. After this is done, we will return to the school where the students will enjoy a pizza party in our classroom. Our last event of the school year will be the Academic Awards presentation for our K4 and K5 students. These awards will be presented immediately following the K5 Graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 30, at 7:00 p.m. Please make plans to be present for this program. If you need more information about any of these events, or if you would like to help and participate, please speak to me.

Punch your ticket now for a trip to Train Town, located in Sonoma, Ca. We will depart from the school at approximately 9:15 a.m., allowing us to arrive for the 10 a.m. opening. Then, after a fun filled ride, we will have lunch at the depot. The cost is $4.25 per ride, with additional rides available for $3.75. Finally, we will return to the school in time for dismissal. If you need more information, or have not yet signed up, speak with Mrs. Abshire right away.

Our New Classroom

March 29th, 2008

I am so excited about our new classroom!  For years I have wished that we could have a classroom that was large enough to accomodate the space needed for both seatwork and activity time, and now we have it!  The new K4 classroom is located directly across from the school office and the restrooms.  In addition to this, we now have easy access to the elementary playground.  This will be much more convenient for the children, parents, and staff.    Please take the time to stop by and view this new classroom at your convenience.
